Grouped Products

Description

On the product card page, a user can be shown several products at the same time — these are usually variants of the same model that differ only in certain characteristics, such as color or size. In this case, a group view event is recorded, which contains the identifiers of all displayed products.

For such product groups to work correctly, it is necessary to pass the same groupId parameter value for all products in the same group.

What for

In recommendation blocks, it makes no sense to show several products from the same group. One most suitable representative is enough — the user, by clicking on it, will see all the other options on the card page.

For maximum recommendation efficiency, the system strives to show as many different product groups as possible. This increases the likelihood that the user will find a suitable product.
