The best placement for the Retail Rocket widget is right after the banner on the homepage.

Widget "Best Sellers"

This algorithm shows the most popular products in the store. Recommendations are based on views, purchase history, searches, and add-to-cart events.

The most effective placement is right after the previous block.

In Product Categories

Personalized content is shown in a single block using two applied algorithms: category bestsellers and personal recommendations for the selected category.

Widget "Personal Recommendations in categories" и "Category Best Sellers"

Category personal recommendations display the most popular items from categories that interest the user. Recommendations are based on views, purchase history, searches, and add-to-cart events.

Category bestsellers highlight frequently viewed and purchased items within the currently browsed category.

Recommended placement: after the third row of the product listing.

On the Product Page (Web and App)

Personalized content appears in two blocks: similar and complementary products.

Widget "Similar Products"

Similar products are alternatives — for example, made from different materials or available in different sizes. Recommendations are based on product attributes and customer behavior.

Recommended placement: before the product description section.

Widget "Related Products"

Related products can help the customer complete their order. This recommendation often increases the average order value.

Recommended placement: after the product description section.

In the Cart with Products (Web and App)

Recommendations appear in a single block of complementary products.

Widget "Related Products"

Complementary products help customers complete their order and often lead to a higher average order value.

Recommended placement: after the list of items in the cart.

In the Empty Cart (Web and App)

It is recommended to use two blocks: personal recommendations and store-wide popular products.

Widget "Personal recommendations"

This algorithm displays items that interest the customer, based on personal preferences, behavior history, past purchases, and other data.

Place the widget under the section that notifies the user that the cart is empty.

Widget "Best Sellers"

This algorithm shows the most popular products in the store, based on views, purchase history, searches, and add-to-cart events.

Place this widget immediately after the first one.

On the Search Results Page

It is recommended to use one block with three fallback algorithms: search recommendations, personal recommendations, and popular products.

Widget "Search Recommendations", "Personal Recommendations", "Best Sellers"

If the search recommendation engine returns no results, personal recommendations are shown. If no personal data is available for the user, store-wide popular products are displayed.

Search recommendations display products relevant to the keyword the user entered.
If there are no items for the keyword, similar phrases are used instead. This allows us to return results for rare queries or typos — for example, for "red striped polka-dot pants" we might suggest "red pants."

Recommended placement: after the third row of search results (or after all results, if fewer than three rows).

On the Search Page with empty results

Recommendations appear in two blocks: one identical to the search results page, and a second block with just two algorithms — personal and popular products — in case there are no personal recommendations available.

Widget "Search Recommendations"

Recommended placement: below the notification that no items were found for the search query.

Widget "Best Sellers" and "Personal recommendations"

If personal recommendations aren’t available, the store’s most popular products will be shown.

Place this block directly after the first one.

On the 404 Page

Personal offers are shown in two blocks: personal recommendations and store-wide bestsellers.

Widget "Personal recommendations"

This algorithm shows products that are likely to interest the customer, based on personal data, browsing history, and prior purchases.

Recommended placement: right after the “page not found” message.

Widget "Best Sellers"

This algorithm presents the most popular products across the store, based on browsing and purchase data.

Place this widget immediately after the previous one.
