On the Homepage of the Website and App

Personalized offers are most effective when placed in two blocks using three algorithms: personal recommendations and storewide popular products.

Widget "Ordered products"

This algorithm displays products the user has previously purchased in the online store, based on their order history.

Best placement for this Retail Rocket widget is right after the homepage banner.

Widget "Personal Recommendations" and "Popular by Interested properties"

These algorithms display products from categories relevant to the user’s interests, based on their preferences, browsing history, past purchases, and other behavioral data.

If the personal recommendation algorithm returns no results, popular product recommendations will be displayed instead.

Place this widget immediately after the first one.

In Product Categories

Personalized content is shown in a single block using two applied algorithms: category bestsellers and personal recommendations for the selected category.

Widget "Personal Recommendations in categories" и "Category Best Sellers"

Category personal recommendations display the most popular items from categories that interest the user. Recommendations are based on views, purchase history, searches, and add-to-cart events.

Category bestsellers highlight frequently viewed and purchased items within the currently browsed category.

Recommended placement: after the third row of the product listing.

On the Product Page (Web and App)

Three personalized blocks are recommended: similar products, same-vendor accessories, and Upsell.

Widget "Similar Products"

Similar products are alternatives — for example, made from different materials or available in different sizes. Recommendations are based on product attributes and customer behavior.

Recommended placement: before the product description section.

Widget "Related products with priority for products from the same vendor"

Cross-sell items that complement the main product, with preference for those from the same vendor. Boosts average order value.

Place after the description section.

Widget "Upsell"

Displays products similar to the current one, but more expensive and with enhanced features. Designed to increase the order value.

Place directly after the previous widget.

In the Cart with Products (Web and App)

Two blocks: accessories and upsell offers.

Widget "Accessories by Property interests"

Shows accessory products that are most likely to be purchased with items in the cart, based on product features and user behavior.

Place after the cart product list.

Widget "Upsell"

Highlights premium alternatives to products in the cart — similar but more advanced and higher-priced.

Place immediately after the first widget.

In the Empty Cart (Web and App)

Use two blocks with three algorithms: one combining personal history (purchases and views), and one with attribute-based personalization.

Widget "Personal Recommendations"

Displays products from categories the customer is most interested in.

Place below the message that the cart is empty.

Widget "Visitor Interest"

Shows relevant products from categories of interest.

Place this block right after the first one.

On the Search Results Page

Use one block with two fallback algorithms: search-based and personalized property-based recommendations.

Widget "Search Recommendations by Interested properties", and "Popular by Interested properties"

If the search result is empty, show popular recommendations based on the product properties the user tends to prefer.

Search recommendations respond to user queries.
If the keyword yields no exact results, a similar phrase is used — e.g., “red striped polka-dot pants” returns “red pants.”

Place the widget after the third row of search results (or at the end if fewer rows exist).

On the Search Page with empty results

Two blocks: one for search recommendations, and another for popularity-based property recommendations.

Widget "Search Recommendations by Interested properties"

Works even when the search result is empty by returning results from similar product queries.

Recommended placement: below the "no results" message.

Widget "Popular by Interested properties"

Displays products that are popular store-wide and align with the user’s interest in certain product features.

Place immediately after the first widget.

On the 404 Page

Two blocks: personal recommendations and popular personalized products.

Widget "Personal Recommendations"

Displays products from categories relevant to the user, using behavioral and historical data.

Place after the “page not found” message.

Widget "Popular by Interested properties"

Displays the store’s most popular products filtered by features the customer usually prefers.
